The word on it
What locals actually say — not a press release.
The Byan Yangala Loop is a proper little adventure through Whian Whian State Conservation Area. You'll clock up about 8.5 kilometres of mixed terrain — bit of everything, really. It's a circuit walk, so you finish where you started, which I reckon beats backtracking. The track winds through some ripper scenery and gives you a real taste of the bush. Fair warning: I once tripped on a root that came outta nowhere, so keep your eyes peeled on the uneven bits.
